About Us and Our Region

Many prophetic words have been said about our region and state, these are but a few:

July 25, 1998, Bakersfield, CA- Chuck Pierce:..."And I would say to you, I have set the wheels in motion for My destiny across this state. I would say I have chosen eight hubs throughout this state, even this moment. And I would say, from those hubs, there will be sixteen spokes going out of all eight. And I say from each hub, you will mobilize 2000 intercessors within that hub. And I say then each hub will connect, hub upon hub upon hub, for the wheels have been set in motion over this state. ...find your place with these hubs. For pockets of fire will arise in each one of these eight cities and I say to you from that fire in these eight cities this whole state will become ablaze."    (We believe our area is one of those cities)

May 2004, Fresno, CA-Rachel Hickson: I see 3 large wheels like cogs of a clock but these wheels turn water. There is one in the North- one in the Central and one in the South. I feel this is the time that the North cog is getting established and positioned. This North cog has 7 teeth, I feel that this represents , key relationships that will come together, but the 7  represents the perfect timing, the completion, the fullness of time ....I feel the cog of the central region is essential for aligning the north and south. The south in many ways already has its cog and teeth coming together but not attached to the north and central but the central cog is key for alignment of the state and to be a bridge, a pivot for turning of the state. The north cog will have strong relationship graced with power, this area will turn the power on in the state, signs, wonders and evangelism.Training centers for harvest. The central cog will have a strong cry of worship, prayer and intimacy mixed with the war cry for deliverance. ...As these 3 cogs come together and work, the north cog will begin to turn the water and this water will cascade from the north to the south and it will effect the northwest, California will lead the way, California will turn, this is the turning time for the state.
Founder Marta's Bio:
Prayer has been a part of my (Marta) life. I prayed often as  child and my mother was a prayer warrior. While living in Jerusalem. in 1980, 81, 82 I learned about prophetic intercession. It was my 'boot camp' training. I lived near the Old City and walked to the Western Wall often to pray. I was a part of Intercessors for Israel and volunteered part-time at International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ). I met intercessors from all over the world called to pray in Jerusalem. I was always amazed at where God would send my intercessory partner and I to pray (she is still a friend and is now Director of ICEJ-USA). Years later (2005) in Israel, I was commissioned as a "Watchman on the Wall" with Eagles Wings ministry. The Lord has often called met to pryer walk cities. In 2007, he called me to walk, worship and pray around Fresno and I finished around March 2008 (about 100 miles). If you want to know more about that, ask me about my photojournal, "Glory Walk." Since International House of Prayer (IHOP) in Kansas City opened I dreamed of going. It was in 2006 I made my first trip to attend the Joseph Company leadership retreat for rest and renewal. There I met a handful of marketplace ministers who were starting houses of prayer in their cities. Although at that time it wasn't my intent to begin one here, it was on my heart to intercede for our city. Thus began my journey.

Isn't God amazing? He puts His desires in our hearts.  I came back thinking that having a 24/7 Regional  House of Prayer in Fresno would be awesome. I was working as a principal of both K-8 public elementary and a K-12 public charter school at the time, but I could not shake the thought and talked to Abba about it constantly. It was a seed God planted, and I didn't even know it at the time. I was told then by a prophetic person that the heart I had for the city was from the Lord, I desired to see transformation not only in the church, but in the city, and I knew prayer was essential for that to take place. After returning from Kansas City I began contacting those who had a similar vision. When I found myself unemployed in 2007, I knew God was leading me to take steps to begin the ministry. We did the legal filing with the state and became 7 Mountain Worship Intercession Network and part of this network is FRESNO HOPE.  It was a beginning of a whole new journey.

I began to share the vision of a 24/7 prayer with pastors and other ministry leaders in the city, and to my delight many of them were supportive of the idea of a citywide prayer house. We met for a year in a home and moved into the downtown prayer room in July 2008. We continue to meet weekly in various locations and times in throughout the city.   I remember the days of my hectic schedule as a principal and how much I would have loved an available place of ongoing worship or prayer, a place of rest and refuge, that I could walk into at anytime and either receive prayer or just 'soak' in the presence of God.  It is our desire we have a place like that to go to.
New things and answered prayer are happening every week.  It is exciting to see what God is doing in our area. You can read about them on our newsletter.
